With more than 24 years of industry experience in building regulations and environmental projects, Nathan founded AED in 1999. Nathan is nationally accredited as a Building Surveyor and is a Grade A1–Accredited Certifier/PCA within NSW, enabling him to provide certification and advice on all classes of building. Nathan is also an Accredited Fire Engineer, accredited in NSW, Victoria and Qld.
Nathan is committed to ensuring the AED team deliver exceptional customer service, that they are mindful of their community responsibility and that they always offer their clients a thorough knowledge of specific legislation, the Building Code of Australia and other requirements relevant to planning, developing and constructing projects. Nathan has extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of projects, involving complex performance-based compliance solutions and fire safety engineering. Jason has more than 20 years of industry experience in the building regulations, auditing and certification services section of the industry. During this time Jason has worked on a variety of projects within the public and private sector. This has included providing consulting or certifications services on large scale industrial developments. Jason also has extensive experience with reviewing and developing alternative solutions for innovative building designs, allowing a project to develop with maximum design flexibility, whilst concurrently ensuring a value engineering process is undertaken to meet budget expectations.
Jason has taken this extensive knowledge and used it to establish a proactive methodology, ensuring that project approvals can be fast tracked to allow clients to minimise the time taken to turn around their approvals. His exposure to large and complicated projects allows Jason to provide his clients with a very efficient and smooth approval process as well as rapid turnaround of audit reviews or Building Code Assessments. Lee has worked on a wide range of complex alternative solutions including tunnel projects, examples include: Cross City Tunnel egress tunnels; Randwick Racecourse pedestrian and vehicular tunnels; BATA Eastgardens extended travel distances in ceiling spaces for maintenance access. In addition, Lee has extensive experience in the design of fire protection systems.
